Mr U.L. Kadurugamuwa Mr. U. L. Kadurugamuwa was the senior partner of F. J. & G. de Saram, Attorneys-at-Law and Notaries Public. He has more than 40 years of experience as a corporate commercial lawyer. He is presently inter alia, on the Boards of Taj Lanka Hotels PLC and Central Finance PLC, both long standing clients of the firm. He has from time to time served on many other Boards of Directors of companies. He is also a Director of Corporate Services Ltd., an associate of F. J. & G. de Saram.

Mr G. Sathasivam Mr. G. Sathasivam began his career in the pharmaceutical sector and during 45 years of success in service and innovation, he established Swiss Biogenics Limited (SBL) into a leader in Sri Lanka’s pharmaceutical industry. Not content to rest on his laurels, he drove the Group’s diversification into uncharted territories – moulding Sunshine Holdings into the pride of the nation. Mr. Sathasivam’s business acumen is recognized both in Sri Lanka and abroad. A testimonial of the vote of confidence in his abilities is his close relationship with the TATA Group – an Indian and global corporate giant involved in a multitude of sectors. With its confidence in the good stewardship of Mr. Sathasivam, the TATA Group initially joined hands with Sunshine Holdings to acquire a single regional plantation company in Sri Lanka. The fact that the TATA Group has subsequently moved into launching several joint ventures with Sunshine Holdings further underscores the recognition given to the management of Sunshine Holdings and the emphatic faith in its Founder.
Mr S.G. Sathasivam Mr. S. G. Sathasivam is the Managing Director of Swiss Biogenics Limited (SBL) and a Director of Sunshine Packaging Limited. He graduated from the London School of Economics & Political Science, UK and holds a Masters in Business Administration from Kellogg School of Management, USA.
Mr V. Govindasamy Mr. V. Govindasamy pioneered the Group’s diversification into newer but key economic sectors such as renewable energy, telecommunications and FMCG. In recognition of his achievements, the TATA Group invited Mr. V. Govindasamy to sit on several key committees in the House of TATA – a truly rare honour for a person in the corporate sector globally. His international experience coupled with his innate managerial capability and innovative qualities enabled him to transform the plantation business, achieving perceptible improvement in quality, production standards and penetration into new markets. Under his managerial direction, the company established several new brands and consolidated and expanded its market share in both domestic and international markets. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and a MBA from the University of Hartford, USA, He is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Certified Professional Managers of Sri Lanka.
Mr D.T.R De Silva Appointed to the Board in 2012. Mr. De Silva is the Managing Director of Serendib Hotels PLC, and Director of Hotel Sigiriya PLC. He also serves on the Boards of Singer Industries (Ceylon) PLC and Regnis Lanka PLC as an Independent Director. He is a Fellow Member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants UK, Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka and a Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing UK. He began his career at Ernst & Young and has worked overseas with a Multi-National for 10 years. Mr. De Silva has wide experience locally in diverse industries having previously held the position of Group CEO of the DCSL Group.
Mr B.S.M. De Silva Appointed to the Board in 1990. Counts over 20 years experience in the Tourism and Leisure industries. Has extensive experience in the Spice industry and is the Founder Chairman of the Spice Council. He is the Chairman & Managing Director B. Darsin De Silva & Sons (Pvt) Ltd, Director of Intercom Group of Companies and holds directorships in Hotel Sigiriya PLC and several other companies.
Ms Stasshani Jayawardena Ms. Stasshani Jayawardena is a graduate of St. James’ & Lucie Clayton College and Keele University in the United Kingdom. She joined Aitken Spence PLC., in January 2010, gaining experience in several of its key strategic business units as well as within the parent company. She was appointed to the board of Aitken Spence PLC., in December 2013. Ms. Jayawardena is a member of the Young Leaders Steering Committee and the Banking, Finance and Capital Markets Steering Committee of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce. She is the Chairperson of the Board of Splendor Media and a member of EY Next Generation Club.
Mr M.P. Dissanayake Dr. Parakrama Dissanayake, is the Chairman/ CEO of Aitken Spence Maritime, Logistics & Cargo and Director - Aitken Spence PLC. He was appointed to the Board of Aitken Spence PLC., in September 2009.Dr. Dissanayake is a former Chairman/ CEO of Sri Lanka Ports Authority and also a former Chairman of state owned Jaya Container Terminals Ltd., and Sri Lanka Port Management Consultancy Services Ltd.
Mr N.J.D.S.D. Aditya Mr. Niranjan Deva Aditya, who was appointed to the Board of Aitken Spence PLC., in September 2006, is an aeronautical engineer, scientist and economist, is a Conservative Member of the European Parliament elected from the SE England. He is the Vice President of the Development Committee; ECR Coordinator and Conservative Spokesman for Overseas’ Development and Co-operation. He was the Co Leader of the Parliamentary Delegation to the UN World Summit and General Assembly 2006, Chairman Working Group A of Development Committee overseeing Asia, Central Asia and Far East; - Co Co-ordinator Assembly of 79 Parliaments of the EU-ACP 2004 and the President EU India Chamber of Commerce from 2005.
Mr G.C. Wickremasinghe Mr. G.C. Wickremasinghe started his career in 1954 on an Aitken Spence managed plantation. He has therefore had an unbroken association of nearly 60 years with the Company. After over a decade as a professional planter he moved to the Company’s head offi ce in 1965 to take over the Estate Agency Department. In the early 70’s, he also took charge of the Insurance division, including the Lloyd’s Agency and the Singapore Airlines Agency. When the Insurance industry was liberalized in the late 80’s, he played an active role in the formation of Union Assurance Ltd., and served a stint as its Chairman.
Mr M.S. Nanayakkara With over 20 years of experience under his belt, in external and internal auditing and management consultancy related roles, Mr. Nanayakkara is a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (FCA) and an associate member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (ACMA, UK). He also holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the Postgraduate Institute of Management (PIM), University of Sri Jayewardenepura and a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Colombo. Appointed to the Board as an Independent Director in August 2010. Currently, he functions as the Senior Manager Group Assurance & Advisory Services of SriLankan Airlines and its subsidiary SriLankan Catering Ltd.
Mr M.U.S.G. Thilakawardene Udara Thilakawardana, Attorney-at-Law currently practices as a Counsel for civil cases in Colombo and Outstation courts and is a Legal Consultant for several organizations including private and public companies. He started his career in 1990 when he was enrolled in the Attorney General’s Department as a state Counsel. Following 6 years in the Attorney General’ s Department, he joined the unofficial bar and started practice in civil Courts.
Mr D.M.A. Kulasooriya A BSc Graduate from the University of Peradeniya, Mr. Kulasooriya has a MSc in management at the University of Sri Jayawardanapura and a postgraduate in Training in Management at the Postgraduate Institute of Management. He currently serves as the Director of Productivity and Management Development at the National Institute of Business Management and Dean, School of Business, National School of Business Management. Possesses 18 years of experience in the field of Quality and Productivity, 10 years of which dealt directly in Lean Six Sigma implementation, he is presently reading for PHD on Lean Management at the University of JNTU, India.

Ms D.S. Wickremasingha Ms. Wickramasingha was first appointed to the Board of Soy Foods (Lanka) Ltd. (Now Convenience Foods (Lanka) PLC.) in May 2000. She is the Group Managing Director of Ceylon Biscuits Limited and the Managing Director of Modern Pack Lanka (Pvt) Ltd. She is also a Director of Plenty Foods (Pvt) Ltd., CBL Foods International (Pvt) Ltd., CBL Export (Pvt) Ltd., CBL Natural Foods (Pvt) Ltd., CBL Agroprocessors (Pvt) Ltd., CBL Cocos (Pvt) Ltd. and Retailers Alliance (Pvt) Ltd.” She possesses a Masters Degree in Food Chemistry from the USA.
Mr R.S. Wickremasingha Currently the Deputy Chairman of Ceylon Biscuits Ltd., manufacturers of biscuits. Mr. R.S Wickramasingha is qualified in Food Technology in “Borough Polytechnic, now known as the University of South Bank, U.K.”. He is overall incharge of production, quality assurance, product development and purchasing. He also holds the position of Chairman at CBL Foods Ltd, which manufactures Chocolates Cakes and Wafers.
Mr E.T. De Zoysa He possesses over 20 years of experience in General Management. He started his career in the plantation sector, and has been with Soy Foods Lanka Ltd now Convenience Foods (Lanka) PLC since 1996. He was appointed to the Board of CFL in 30 October 2002 and was appointed as the Managing Director of the Company with effect from 1st April 2011.
Mr M.P. Wickremasingha Mr. M P Wickramasingha is the founder and Chairman of the Ceylon Biscuits group of companies (CBL). The group, which commenced operations in 1968, with the supply of a high protein biscuit for school children under a programme sponsored by CARE, has since diversified into several food related ventures while retaining its market leadership position in the biscuit and confectionery sector. A strong focus on quality, continuous product innovation, a strong commitment towards discharging the group’s social responsibilities, and the relentless pursuit of it’s declared policy of increasing backward linkages to the local farmer, has characterised his leadership style and the success of the group.
