| Mr Temel Kotil
| Mr Temel Kotil was born in Rize in 1959. In 1983, he graduated from the Aeronautical Engineering Department at Istanbul Technical University (ITU). In 1986, he received his first Master’s degree in the United States from the Aircraft Engineering Department of Michigan University in Ann Arbor, followed in 1987 by his second Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, and his Doctorate in Mechanical Engineering in 1991 at the same university. From 1991-93 Kotil established and managed the Aviation and Advanced Composite Laboratories of ITU’s Faculty of Aeronautics and Astronautics, where he also served as Assistant Professor and Associate Professor. From 1993-94 he served as Department Faculty Vice President and as Faculty Assistant Dean. Mr. Kotil also served as Head of the Research, Planning and Coordination Department of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality. Then he served as a guest professor at Illinois University, and then as Department Head at the Research and Engineering Department of AIT Inc. New York. In 2003 he began his career with Turkish Airlines as Vice President of the Technical Department. In 2005 Mr. Kotil was appointed as General Manager. And in 2006, he was elected as a member of the IATA Board of Directors. In 2010, he was appointed as a Board Member of the Association of European Airlines and as Vice President between 2012 and 2013 and as the Chairman in 2014. Mr. Kotil, married with four children, has authored many articles and publications. |
| Mr İlker Aycı
| Mr İlker Aycı was Born in Istanbul in 1971, M. İlker AYCI graduated from Bilkent University’s Department of Political Science and Public Administration in 1994 and went to the UK to work as a researcher at Leeds University’s Department of Political Science in 1995. In 1997, he graduated from the International Relations Masters program (English) in Marmara University. Starting his career in 1994, Mr. Aycı held a variety of roles at Kurtsan İlaçları A.Ş., Istanbul Municipal Authority and Universal Dış Ticaret A.Ş. He was also assigned as the General Manager of Başak Sigorta A.Ş. between 2005 – 2006, the General Manager of Güneş Sigorta A.Ş between 2006-2011 and the President of The Investment, Support and Promotion Agency of Turkey between 2011-2015 and he was the Vice President and President of the World Association of Investment Agencies between 2013 -2015. He has been performing the duty of the Turkish Airlines Inc. Chairman of the Board and the Executive Committee since April 2015. Besides, Mr. Aycı holds numerous positions at the following organizations such as the Insurance and Re-insurance Association of Turkey, the Turkish-Chinese Business Council in Foreign Economic Relations Board, Vakıf Emeklilik A.Ş, Güneş Sigorta Sports Club (2008 European Challenge Cup champions) and the Turkish Airlines Sports Club. Mr. Aycı speaks English and Russian. |
| Mr Sabahattin Birdal
| Mr Sabahattin Birdal was born in 1952, graduated from Istanbul University, Faculty of Economics, Department of Business Administration and Finance. He began his career as an assistant auditor in 1977 and served as auditor and branch manager at VakıfBank. Mr. Birdal also served as a manager at Faisal Finance Institution, a manager and executive vice president in Kuveyt Türk Evkaf Finance Institution. Between April 2004 and March 2008, he worked as Deputy Mayor of Uskudar. After having worked as a board member in VakıfBank from March 2008 to October 2010, Mr. Birdal began to serve as a board member on March 27th, 2010 in Halkbank and pursued to work as a board member from March 29th, 2014 onwards.He was elected as a board member in VakıfBank in the meeting of the Board of Directors held on April 31st, 2014. In addition, he is a member of the Bank’s Audit Committee. |
| Mr Şeref Aksaç
| Mr Şeref Aksaç was born in Bayburt in 1956. He graduated from Istanbul Academy of Economics and Commercial Sciences, Faculty of Political Sciences, Department of Public Administration in 1979. He began his career in 1982 at Ziraat Bank as assistant auditor and became auditor in 1986. He worked as Assistant Manager in Istanbul branch between 1990 and 1993 and as Manager at various branches of bank between 1993 and 2003. He was appointed as Executive Vice President, responsible for Human Resources between 2003 and 2005. He was also statutory auditor of Basak Insurance company and a board member of Turkmen Joint- Stock Commercial Bank and Ziraat Securities. Before his appointment as General Manager at Ziraat Life and Insurance company in March 2013, he worked as Executive Vice President, responsible for Sales and Marketing and Deputy General Manager from August 2012 onwards. He was appointed as Board Member at Extraordinary General Meeting on April 30th, 2014. He is a member of the Bank’s Remuneration Committee and an alternate member of Credit Committee. |
| Mr Öztürk Oran
| Mr Öztürk Oran was born in Kars in 1956, graduated from Erzurum Kazım Karabekir Training Institute, Department of Turkish Language and Literature. He had also degree in Banking and Trade Law Research Institute and Istanbul University, Faculty of Management, Institute of Accounting, Budgeting and Standard Costs specialty programme. He began his career at VakıfBank as an officer in 1974. In the meantime, he completed Foreign Trade, English, Accounting and Bank Management trainings for 3 years at The Banks Association of Turkey Training Center. During his more than 28 years of banking experience, he worked 12 years in VakıfBank and 16 years in Faisal Finance Participation Bank at various departments and all levels. Since 2003, he has been working as Board Chairman in pharmaceutical companies that he is partner of. Apart from having posts as both Board Membership and Parliament Membership in Istanbul Chamber of Commerce, he had different roles in different civil society organizations such as World Trade Center, Orphans Association and Orphans Foundation. He was appointed as Board Member in VakıfBank at Extraordinary General Meeting on April 30th, 2014. He is also a full member of the Bank’s Corporate Governance Committee and Remuneration Committee. |
| Mr Adnan Ertem
| Mr Adnan Ertem was born in 1964, graduated from Istanbul University, Faculty of Political Sciences, Department of Public Administration in 1987 and got his Ph.D. in Social Sciences in 1997. Starting his career as an Assistant Auditor at the General Directorate of Foundations in 1988, Dr. Ertem was appointed Auditor in 1991 and Chief Auditor in 2002. Between 2002 and 2007, he served as the Deputy Manager at the Regional Directorate of Foundations in Istanbul. Between 2007 and 2010, Dr. Ertem served as Deputy Undersecretary of the Turkish Prime Ministry and in October 2010 he was appointed General Manager of General Directorate of Foundations. On October 27th, 2010, he was appointed to VakıfBank’s Board of Directors and he is also a member of Remuneration Committee. |
| Mr İsmail Alptekin
| Mr İsmail Alptekin was born in 1944, graduated from Istanbul University, Faculty of Law in 1968. He began his career as an attorney at Türkiye Zirai Donatım Kurumu (Agricultural Equipment Agency of Turkey) and then worked as an auditor at TUBITAK (Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey). He has held positions as a Board member at VakıfBank for two terms (1975-1978, 1996-1997), a member of Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Council and as a member of Parliament from Bolu for 21st and 22nd terms. He was also appointed Deputy Chairman of the Parliament during his terms in office. Mr. Alptekin was appointed as a member of the Board on April 6th, 2009. He is also a member of the Bank’s Corporate Governance Committee and an alternate member of Credit Committee. |

| Mr Halil Aydoğan was Born in 1950 in Afyon, Mr. Aydoğan graduated from Istanbul University, Faculty of Economics, Department of Business Administration and Finance in 1976. He began his career at VakıfBank in 1977 and worked in various departments at different positions. Mr. Aydoğan assumed the positions of Executive Vice President at VakıfBank between 1996 and 1999 and General Manager at Vakıf Finansal Kiralama A.Ş. between 1999 and 2000. He served as a member of Parliament from Afyon for 22nd and 23rd terms. Mr. Aydoğan was appointed Chairman of the Board of VakıfBank in January 2012 and has served as General Manager of the Bank since March 29th, 2013. |
| Mr Mehmet Emin Özcan
| Mr Mehmet Emin Özcan, born in 1960, graduated from Ankara University, Faculty of Political Sciences, Department of Economics in 1982. He began his professional life at Isbank as an Assistant Auditor in 1983. Following this, he assumed different positions at Albaraka Türk Katılım Bankası A.Ş. Mr. Özcan served as Executive Director of the Board at Halkbank between March 2003 and April 2005. At the same time, he served as the bank representative for the Institute of International Finance (IIF) and board member at DemirHalk Bank / Netherlands, Halk Yatırım Menkul Değerler A.Ş. and Halk Finansal Kiralama A.Ş. Mr. Özcan was a member of the Board of Directors of Ziraat Bank between April 2005-May 2010 and he also served as Chairman / board member of various subsidiaries of Ziraat Bank. He served as Vice Chairman of the Board of Halkbank between April 2010 and March 2013. Appointed to VakıfBank’s Board of Directors on March 29th, 2013, Mr. Özcan currently serves as Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors. | Mr Ramazan Gündüz, born in 1952, graduated from Cukurova University, Academy of Economy and Commercial Sciences, Department of Business Administration. Mr. Gündüz began his career at VakıfBank as an intern in 1977 and worked in various departments at different positions. Following his retirement from VakıfBank, Mr. Gündüz served as General Manager of Vakıf Finansal Kiralama A.Ş. and Vakıf Menkul Kıymetler Yatırım Ortaklığı A.Ş., both of which are the subsidiaries of VakıfBank. On April 3rd, 2009, he was appointed to the Board and has served as Chairman of VakıfBank since April 29th, 2013. |

| Recep Süleyman Özdil was born in Istanbul in 1961. He graduated from Ankara University Faculty of Political Science, Department of Economics. After beginning his professional career as an Auditor at a private company in 1984, Ozdil served as a Specialist, Assistant Manager and Branch Manager at Albaraka Turk Ozel Finans Kurumu A.S. in the years from 1986 to 1993.
