Mr J.M.S. Brito Mr. Rajan Brito has a LLB (University of London) and MBA (London City Business School) degrees and is a Fellow of both Institutes of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka and England and Wales. Together with this multidisciplined knowledge, he also brings with him a wealth of 35 years of international experience working with a number of international organizations.
Mr D.H.S. Jayawardena Deshamanya Harry Jayawardena is one of Sri Lanka’s most successful businessmen and heads many successful enterprises in very diverse fields of activity. He is the Founder Director and current Chairman/Managing Director of the Stassen Group of Companies – a diversified group in exports and import trade, and Lanka Milk Foods (CWE) PLC. He is also the Chairman of the Distilleries Company of Sri Lanka PLC, Lanka Bell (Pvt) Ltd., Browns Beach Hotels PLC, Balangoda Plantations PLC, and Madulsima Plantations PLC. He is a former Director of Hatton National Bank PLC, the largest listed bank in Sri Lanka
Mr C.J.L. Pinto Mr. Pinto was appointed as a Non- Executive Director and as the chairman of the Board Audit Committee of Asian Hotels And Properties PLC in July 2011. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka with 40 years of post-qualifying experience, in the profession and in industry. Before returning to Sri Lanka in 2006 after a spell of 32 years abroad, he worked for SAB Miller PLC for 23 years, the world’s second largest multinational breweries group, holding CFO positions in its listed subsidiaries in several countries. He currently works as a beverage industry consultant and is semi-retired. He is also a Non-Executive Director of Trans Asia Hotels PLC.
Mr S.K.G. Senanayake Mr. Senanayake was appointed to the Board of Asian Hotels and Properties PLC as an Independent Director in September 2009. He has served in several key positions in national and international organisations. Mr. Senanayake joined IFC in June 1998 and held the position of Country Manager for Sri Lanka and Maldives until April 2006 when he was appointed as the Head of Financial Markets Investments – West Africa. He held this position until his retirement in April 2009. Prior to joining IFC he served as the Assistant General Manager-Treasury and Investment Banking at National Development Bank of Sri Lanka and as Consultant-Treasury and Business Development at Commercial Bank of Ceylon.
Ms S.A. Jayasekara Mrs. Jayasekara was appointed as a Director in September 2009. She has over 30 years experience combining; Finance, IT, Audit and Risk Management in Sri Lanka, Zambia and Bahrain. She currently serves as an advisor to Carsons Cumberbatch PLC, in relation to Audit, covering group interests in Sri Lanka, Indonesia and Malaysia. She has been selected to serve on various committees of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka such as the Annual Report Awards Committee (Sustainability Reporting) and Audit Committee of the Institute. She is also an external Independent Director at LB Finance. She is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants UK.

Mr S. Rajendra Mr. Rajendra was appointed as a Director in January 2006. He is President, Property Group of John Keells Holdings PLC. He also serves as a Director in many companies of the John Keells Group. He has over 18 years of experience in the fields of finance, travel and tourism, and business development acquired both in Sri Lanka and overseas. Prior to joining the Group, he was the head of commercial and business development for NRMA Motoring & Services in Sydney, Australia, Director/General Manager of Aitken Spence Hotel Managements (Pvt) Ltd. and also served on the Boards of the hotel companies of the Aitken Spence Group. Mr. Rajendra is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, UK.
Mr R.J. Karunarajah Mr. Karunarajah joined the John Keells Group in 2003 as General Manager for the Colombo Plaza and was appointed a Director in March 2005. A career Hotelier counting over three decades in the international hospitality industry, he currently holds the position of General Manager, Cinnamon Grand and, Senior Vice President, John Keells Holdings PLC., having served as General Manager for the Bristol Marriott and the Marriott Marble Arch, London. He read for his Masters in Hospitality and Business Studies from the Thames Valley University, London.

Mr D.S. Weerakkody Dinesh Weerakkody is currently Chairman of Commercial Bank PLC. He is a former Chairman/ CEO of the Employees’ Trust Fund Board of Sri Lanka and a Director of DFCC Bank PLC . He was also Advisor to the Prime Minister of Sri Lanka from 2002-2004. Mr. Weerakkody has served in many Cabinet Sub Committees and national level committees on Economic Affairs, International Affairs and Labour Management. During his public sector career Mr. Weerakkody engaged pro-actively and innovatively in economic, trade, labour and cultural matters in both bilateral and multilateral contexts. From 2005-2009 Mr. Weerakkody was a Council Member and 2008-2009 Chairman Employer Relations, CIMA Sri Lanka Division. He is a Graduate in Business Administration, an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants United Kingdom, a Fellow of the Certified Management Accountants of Sri Lanka, Professional Member of the Singapore Human Resource Institute and has obtained a MBA from the University of Leicester, England. Mr Weerakkody has received extensive Leadership, HR, and Management training in the UK, USA, France, Japan, Singapore and India. He has been on the Sri Lankan Board of GlaxoSmithKline Sri Lanka since 2000 and is Chairman of Cornucopia Lanka Ltd and Director/Advisor of Cornucopia Bangalore, India. He serves and had served in a number of government and private sector boards. He is also a Board member of the International Chamber of Commerce Sri Lanka Chapter and a Vice President of Sri Lanka Tennis. Dinesh has published widely on HR, Leadership, Management, International Relations and development issues, has been involved in large scale research projects in the USA and has presented many papers at national and international level. He is a recipient of two national awards.
Mr C.L.K.P. Jayasuriya Appointed to the Board, with effect from 26th August 2011. He is presently the Executive Chairman and Managing Director of Finlays Colombo PLC. He is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, U.K. (FCMA) and a fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants, U.K. (FCCA). He is the chairman of the Mercantile Service Provident Society, immediate past Chairman of the Employers’ Federation of Ceylon, a Director of the Employees Trust Fund Board, a member of the Board of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants-Sri Lanka Division, and a member of the Board of the Sri Lanka Accounting and Auditing Standards Monitoring Board. He is a Committee Member of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce. He is also an Independent Non-Executive Director of Central Finance Company PLC.
