George Hayek George Hayek, Managing Director. He is the founder of Pact and Yixing and is a civil engineer (1967) and post-graduate certificate holder in sanitary engineering and environmental management from the American University of Beirut and the University of California at Irvine (in 1971 and 1988, respectively). Since 1971, he has occupied several key posts in water and waste-water treatment companies in the USA, the UK, Spain, Cyprus, The Middle East, Southeast Asia and the last 14 years in the PRC. From 1998 to date, he has been the managing director of Pact. His international experience helped Pact in securing most of the contracts with European and American multinational industries in the PRC.

Mr Simon Lowth, appointed as a Director and as CFO in November 2007, and served as Interim CEO from June to September 2012. Simon Lowth is also a Non-Executive Director of Standard Chartered PLC. He was previously at ScottishPower Energy where he was Finance Director, a position he left following completion of the sale of the company to Iberdrola S.A. His move to ScottishPower followed 15 years' experience with the global management consultancy, McKinsey & Company, where he advised leading multinational companies on a wide range of strategic, financial and operational issues. He has an engineering degree from Cambridge University and an MBA from the London Business School.Simon provides significant expertise to the Group in finance, capital allocation, value-based planning, portfolio management and strategy, gained through roles in a number of listed companies. Simon has relevant experience of the gas and power industry and a background in engineering.Before joining BG Group, Simon was chief financial officer and executive director of AstraZeneca for six years, during which time he notably helped improve productivity, cash management and capital allocation during complex times.Prior to that, Simon was chief financial officer and corporate strategy director at Scottish Power, following a number of roles with McKinsey & Company, ultimately as director of the UK Industrial Practice focusing on business strategy, mergers and acquisitions,capital management and operational performance improvement.
