e& sees 4% higher profits in Q1-22

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: e& has reported a 3.6% rise in its net profits attributable to the owners to AED 2.43 billion in the first quarter (Q1) of 2022, compared to AED 2.35 billion in the same quarter of 2021, according to the company's consolidated interim financials for the three-month period ended 31 March 2022.

The company generated revenues of AED 13.33 billion in Q1-22, up 0.8% from AED 13.22 billion in Q1-21.

The company's earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA) inched up 0.5% year-on-year (YoY) to AED 6.80 billion in the first three months (3M) of 2022 from AED 6.76 billion.

The basic and diluted earnings per share (EPS) settled at AED 0.28 in Q1-22, versus AED 0.27 in the year-ago period.
