USTIC imposes anti-dumping duty up to 7.24% - Al Jazeera Steel

Mubasher: The United States International Trade Commission (USITC) decided that US industry has been materially injured or threatened with material injury by reason of imports of circular welded carbon-quality steel pipe from Oman, said Al Jazeera Steel Products in a bourse statement on Sunday.

As a result, USITC has imposed an anti-dumping duty of 7.24%, the bourse filing revealed.

Al Jazeera intends to contest against the verdict through legal channels, believing that this duty will have no impact on the company’s revenues or profits, according to the statement.

The company earned OMR 3.07 million during the first nine months of 2016, higher 95.5% year-over-year from OMR 1.57 million.
