Abu Dhabi - Mubasher: U.S. weapons maker Raytheon Company on Thursday announced the formation of its wholly owned subsidiary, Raytheon Emirates, in Abu Dhabi.
The new company’s activity will be aerospace and defense business that support cyber-secure digital transformation and add value to the UAE’s economic, Raytheon said in a statement.
"Raytheon is committed to helping the UAE achieve its economic goals, while providing trusted and innovative solutions that support the nation's defense and security requirements,” said Thomas A. Kennedy, Raytheon’s Chairman and CEO.
"We are focused on expanding the capabilities of Raytheon and its business partners in the UAE by emphasising local hiring and talent development, cultivating a strong supplier base, and developing new technology solutions," John Brauneis, Raytheon Emirates’ CEO, commented.
Raytheon Emirates will conduct Raytheon's operations in the Emirates in cybersecurity, effectors, air defense and sustainment, and advanced technology, while applying its parent's system and processes, the New York-listed company revealed.
