UK plans to support Egypt with GBP 13m funding

Cairo – Mubasher: The UK plans to provide Egypt with a funding worth GBP 13 million ($16.17 million) through the World Bank as an extension of the four-year technical assistance programme which amounts to GBP 15 million.

Such funding reflects the UK’s commitment towards supporting Egypt’s economy, the UK’s minister of state for international development, Andrew Murrison, said in a statement released by the Egyptian Ministry of Investment and International Cooperation on Monday.

UK’s cumulative investments in Egypt reached $47.4 billion through 1,816 British firms operating in the country, minister of investment Sahar Nasr revealed.
