UAE stock markets close 1st trading session after Eid on mixed note

UAE – Mubasher: The UAE stock markets showed a varied performance on Monday, which marks the first trading session following the Eid Al Fitr holiday.

The main index of Dubai Financial Market (DFM) closed the session lower by 0.37 points at 4,243.78 points. The turnover reached AED 628.38 million through the exchange of 240.78 million shares.

Union Properties was the most active stock with 47.48 million shares, while Emaar Properties recorded the highest trading value of AED 224.67 million.

Agility Public Warehousing advanced the risers with 11.53%, whereas Al Salam Bank – Sudan headed the decliners with 9.88%.

On the other hand, the benchmark index of the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) went up by 0.178% to 9,253.74 points.

A total of 318.33 million shares were exchanged at an amount of AED 1.26 billion, while the market cap value hit AED 2.85 trillion.

International Holding Company (IHC) posted the highest turnover of AED 212.95 million.

Multiply Group, which topped the gainers with 14.83%, dominated the trading volume with 57.03 million shares.

Meanwhile, Palms Sports led the fallers with 9.92%.

During the holy month of Ramadan, the capital markets in the Arab region registered a varied performance, with five markets rising and eight declining.
