Dubai – Mubasher: The total loans granted to national carriers in 2017 reached around AED 26.24 billion, Safwan Kuzbari, Novus Aviation Capital’s president and CEO stated on Sunday.
The total amount of loans secured by Emirates, Etihad Airways, Air Arabia, and flydubai registered AED 16.5 billion, AED 7.34 billion, AED 1.1 billion, and AED 1.3 billion, respectively, during the previous year, Kuzbari added, according to Al-Bayan newspaper.
The GCC-based airline companies demand a range between 8% and 10% of the new aircraft produced by both Boeing and Airbus, Al-Bayan reported, citing the CEO as saying.
