UAE’s NMDC awarded AED 1bn deal in Egypt

Abu Dhabi - Mubasher: National Marine Dredging Company (NMDC) won a contract worth AED 1 billion to handle the dredging works in the Suez Canal from the kilometer (km) 122 to 132 in Egypt.

The project is forecast to be completed during 2023, according to a recent bourse disclosure.

Last February, National Petroleum Construction Company (NPCC), a wholly-owned subsidiary of NMDC, inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Petroleum Marine Services (PMS). The agreement aimed to explore engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) project opportunities in the oil and gas sector across the Arab Republic and the region.

In the first nine months (9M) of 2022, the net profits attributable to the shareholders of NMDC hiked to AED 703.05 million, compared to AED 501.04 million in 9M-21.

Revenues enlarged to AED 6.07 billion in 9M-22 from AED 5.38 billion in 9M-21, while the basic and diluted earnings per share (EPS) attributable to the owners surged to AED 0.85 from AED 0.64.
