UAE nationals among Bloomberg’s initial Beijing forum speaker list

Mubasher: Bloomberg and the China Center for International Economic Exchanges (CCIEE) published the initial list of the names of the speakers and participants for the 2019 New Economy Forum, according to the US media firm’s statement.

The New Economy Forum will be held in Beijing from 20 to 22 November, in a bid to offer solutions to the massive disruption resulting from the shift in the balance of economic power towards the Asia Pacific region.

The event will feature around 500 of the world’s most influential business figures, technology innovators, government officials and academics from over 60 countries.

The forum is supported by ten partners companies and their executives, including Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), ExxonMobil, Mastercard, FedEx, HSBC and Hyuandai Motor Group.

Among the speakers in the event, ADNOC’s CEO and UAE Minister of State Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, and Mubadala Investment Company’s CEO and managing director Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak.

Moreover, the Bloomberg’s preliminary list includes:

  • Bloomberg’s founder and CEO Michael R Bloomberg
  • Former US State Secretary and National Security Advisor Henery Kissinger
  • Former US Treasury Secretary and Paulson Institute’s chairman Henry Paulson
  • Microsoft founder and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation’s co-chair Bill Gates
  • Mastercard’s president and CEO Ajay Banga
  • HSBC’s group chief executive Noel Quinn
  • FedEx’s chairman and CEO Fredrick Smith
  • Standard Chartered Group Chief Executive Bill Winters
  • Hyundai’s executive vice chairman Eui-sun Chung
