Dubai – Mubasher: The UAE’s investments in clean energy amounted to around $2.2 billion in 2017, ranking the eleventh among the world’s countries investing in clean energy, according to a report released by Bloomberg New Energy Finance.
Global investments in renewable energy and smart energy technologies grew 3% to $333.5 billion in 2017, compared to $324.6 billion a year earlier, the report showed.
Clean energy investments surged in Australia and Mexico, while dropped in Japan, the UK, and Germany, Bloomberg New Energy Finance concluded.
