Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: Russian automaker Aurus has launched a new Soviet-influenced vehicle in cooperation with an Emirati investor.
The Abu Dhabi-based company Tawazun Holding has pumped $128.6 million in investments in the product, Agence France-Presse (AFP) reported.
Aurus said that the new luxury cars are influenced by Soviet-era cars that were produced to be used only by top officials.
"There is demand for a high-tech quality product made in our country, in particular for a car of such a class. Consumers of such cars, you could say they are tired of Rolls-Royces, Mercedes and Maybachs,” Aurus’ chief designer Vadim Pereverzev told AFP.
