UAE hosts 1st 'Digital Government Research' edition in ME

UAE - Mubasher: Mohammed bin Rashid School of Government (MBRSG) has hosted a two-day conference on Digital Government Research.

The first research and teaching institution focused on promoting governance and public policy in the Arab region, MBRSG, has hosted the 20th edition of the Annual International Digital Government Research Conference for the first time in the Middle East on 19 and 20, 2019.

The conference included discussions on the application of digital technologies in development plans, government services, and also smart cities, according to a press release on Thursday.

It also discussed scientific papers, research and studies on digital governance as well as the age of Artificial Intelligence and its relation to the transformation of governments.

Executive President Dr Ali Sebaa Al Marri commented, “The UAE is an incubator of powerful ideas and the facilitatory environment has made the nation a global centre for innovation, especially in the fields of public administration and public policies.”

Al Marri further noted that “The UAE has established itself as a leading model for future governments. We look forward to sharing our expertise and the use of the latest research and studies to develop governments, and to develop the best tools that drive the digital transformation of the governments of the world.”
