UAE-based Syrian Aboud among Forbes ME Arab Billionaires 2019

Dubai – Mubasher: The Dubai-based Syrian entrepreneur Ghassan Aboud and noted philanthropist was among the Arab billionaires in Forbes Middle East April 2019 issue.

With a wealth estimated at $1.75 billion, Aboud ranked the16th amongst the Arab billionaires list.

Among all nationalities in the Middle East, Ghassan Aboud was ranked the 27th by Forbes Middle East, according to a press release on Sunday.

Aboud is the promoter and chairman of the UAE-headquartered Ghassan Aboud Group which covers various fields, including automotive, hospitality, real estate, retail, food, media, logistics and pastoral business sectors.

The UAE-based Ghassan Aboud Group has offices operating in Australia, Belgium, Turkey, and Jordan.

In 2019, a total of 2153 billionaires from varied sectors are featured in Forbes with total wealth of $8.7 trillion, yet were 55 lesser than 2018.

“Middle East’s Billionaires 2019, with their aggregate net worth shrinking by nearly 5% to reach $191.3 billion compared with $201.4 billion in 2018,” the press release added.

In 2018, Ghassan Aboud was ranked the18th in Forbes list of "Most Influential Expats in the UAE for 2018" recognising 50 distinctive leaders in the country.

“Ghassan Aboud also featured in the cover story of the Forbes Middle East April 2019 issue titled “Ambition Unleashed” wherein he talks about the group’s progress and business plans,” the press release concluded.
