UAE – Mubasher: Dubai-based startup Bloomspoon has secured investment valued at AED 800,000 in exchange for 49% equity during Season 3 of Shark Tank Dubai.
The deal was offered by Toufic Kreidieh, Executive Chairman and Co-Founder of the Brands for Less (BFL Group), according to a press release.
Founded in 2023 by Mostafa Khattab, Bloomspoon creates reusable cutlery from wheat straw embedded with seed capsules, enabling users to plant them after use.
The new funding will enable Bloomspoon to expand regionally, grow its product line, foster retail presence, and pursue B Corp certification.
Bloomspoon is the world’s first brand to introduce plantable cutlery, reusable utensils crafted from wheat straw with a water-soluble seed capsule. After use, you can plant the cutlery to grow basil, mint, or other herbs, transforming single-use waste into a sustainable lifestyle.
