UAE C.Bank foreign exchange reserves fall in August

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: Foreign exchange reserves held by the Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE) declined to AED 329.53 billion ($89.73 billion) in August, compared to AED 332.31 billion ($90.49 billion) a month earlier.

Moreover, credit and deposits held with banks outside the UAE went down 0.79% month-on-month to AED 260.81 billion in August, data released by the CBUAE on Wednesday showed.

Other foreign assets decreased by 5% to AED 13.52 billion last month, versus AED 14.22 billion in July.
