UAE, Egypt strike strategic partnership to develop Egyptian gov’t

Cairo – Mubasher: The UAE and Egypt have announced a strategic partnership to develop the government performance in the North African nation.

This move aims at helping in achieving Egypt’s 2030 Vision, as the partnership includes government excellence, government abilities, smart services, and government accelerators, according to a recent press release by the UAE cabinet affairs ministry.

This came on the sidelines of the visit of Emirati delegation headed by the cabinet affairs minister Mohammad Al Gergawi to Egypt.

The delegation met with Egyptian Prime Minister Sherif Ismail and agreed on the main aspects of the strategic partnership to develop the performance of the Egyptian government over the coming five years.

As per the partnership, the UAE seeks to hold the first conference for government excellence in Egypt with the attendance of 1000 leaders, the press highlighted.

The GCC country will also collaborate with the most populous Arab nation to set up the first Egyptian government accelerators in a bid to speed up work and achieve integration of the government.

Upon the partnership, both countries will coordinate to establish the first smart services centre in Egypt, the press added.

Furthermore, more than 50 government laboratories will be set up for top officials of the entire Egyptian government sectors.

The initiatives between both countries include training and endorsing consultants and residents to bolster Egypt’s prize for government excellence, the press concluded.
