Three sectors weigh on ADX Tuesday

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange’s (ADX) general index lost 6.47 points, or 0.13%, to close at 4,876.39 points on Tuesday, pressured by the real estate, energy, and banks sectors.  

The ADX’s trading volume hit 60 million shares, while the market’s liquidity reached AED 170.22 million and market capitalisation recorded AED 485.359 billion.

The real estate sector declined 1.17%, as Aldar Properties shed 1.65%, while the energy sector went down 0.72%, as Dana Gas sank 0.88%.

The banks sector inched down 0.07%, as Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) tumbled 3.25%.

On the other hand, consumer staples sector increased by 0.61% after Asmak soared 3.51%.
