Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) went up in a week, boosted up by the telecommunication sector.
The Tadawul All-Share Index (TASI) gained 103.72 points, or 1.2%, to 8,582.88 points in a week.
The joint index between Tadawul and MSCI, MT30 index, rose 20 points, or 1.6%, to 1,268.72 points over the week.
On the other hand, the main index of the Nomu secondary market, NOMU, lost 53.1 points, or 1.4%, to 3,681.32 points.
Market capitalisation increased to SAR 2.035 trillion ($542.78 billion) in the week ended 14 March.
The telecommunication sector topped Tadawul’s 14 gainers, levelling up 4%, while capital goods grew 1.55%.
Meanwhile, the banking sector lost 1.2% and the transportation sector went down 1.43%.
The Tadawul’s trading volume reached 680.77 million shares, while the market’s liquidity hit SAR 15.66 billion.
