Telecom, real state boost ADX Tuesday

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange’s (ADX) general index added 17.84 points, or 0.36%, to close at 4,956.76 points on Tuesday, pushed up by the telecommunication and real estate sectors.

The ADX’s trading volume reached 23.85 million shares, while the market’s liquidity hit AED 84.55 million.

The banks sector added 0.22% after First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) went up 0.34%.

On the other hand, the energy sector lost 1.33%, as Taqa dropped 5.83%. The consumer staples sector tumbled 2.85% after Agthia decreased by 4.08%.

Etisalat topped the ADX in terms of liquidity, with a turnover of AED 26.21 million, while Aldar Properties led the market in terms of volume, with 3.3 million traded shares.
