Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Exchange (Tadawul) will halt trading on Thursday, 22 February 2024, on the occasion of the Saudi Founding Day holiday.
Meanwhile, all trading activities will resume on Sunday, 25 February, according to an official statement.
The annual holiday commemorates the ascendancy to power of Imam Mohammed bin Saud, who founded the first Saudi State in 1727.
Saudi Arabia has been celebrating its founding day since 2022, after King Salman of Saudi Arabia issued a royal decree announcing that 22 February each year will be a national holiday to celebrate the Saudi Founding Day.
This holiday, meanwhile, is different from the Saudi National Day which is celebrated every year on 22 September.
