Tadawul’s Diversified Financials index falls with Tasheel leading decliners

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Diversified Financials sector index experienced a downward trend during the trading session on 9 July 2026, closing at 5,014.42 points.

This level represents a decrease of 0.90% as selling pressure outweighed buying interest across the constituent base.

Market breadth for the session remained negative, with six equities recording losses against four advancing stocks.

United International Holding Company (Tasheel) emerged as the primary laggard of the day, posting the steepest decline of 2.59% to close at SAR 30.78.

Tasheel also dominated liquidity within the sector, recording the highest trade value at SAR 39.10 million.

Other significant decliners included Kingdom Holding Company which fell 2.00% to SAR 11.73, in addition to Saudi Darb Investment Company, formerly known as Al Baha, which dropped 1.36% to SAR 2.17.

Heavyweight Saudi Tadawul Group Holding Company also contributed to the sector's weakness, declining 1.26% to end the session at SAR 133.10 on a trade value of SAR 9.54 million.

Moreover, Saudi Advanced Industries Company (SAIC) rounded out the top decliners with a 1.25% move to SAR 16.54.

Conversely, gains remained marginal and failed to offset the broader index retreat. Morabaha Marina Financing Company led the advancing side with a modest increase of 0.52%, closing at SAR 7.71.

Amlak International Finance Company followed with a 0.47% rise to SAR 8.54, while SHL Finance went up by 0.34% to SAR 14.75.

Derayah Financial Company recorded the smallest gain among the advancers, rising 0.14% to SAR 22.01.

The session was characterized by concentrated liquidity, as the top five most active stocks accounted for the bulk of the sector's turnover. Beyond Tasheel and Saudi Tadawul Group, Saudi Darb saw SAR 7.59 million in trades, followed by Kingdom Holding with SAR 6.68 million and Derayah Financial with SAR 6.16 million.

The overall performance indicates a cautious sentiment within the financial services landscape, as major players like Tasheel and Tadawul Group faced selling pressure despite varying levels of turnover.
