Tadawul rises for third day in row

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) ended Thursday’s trading in gains for the third consecutive session.

The all-share index TASI added 1.9% or 118.27 points and closed at 6,326.92 points.

Traded volumes amounted to 146.51 million, with a turnover of SAR 2.908 billion, through 149,830 transactions.

The materials and banks sectors rose by 2.54% and 2.19%, while energy and telecom increased by 1.19% and 0.30%, respectively.

Umm Al Qura Cement topped the rising stocks as it surged by 10%, while Saudi Chemical was the biggest loser and dropped by 2.98%.

Al Rajhi registered the highest turnover of SAR 395.59 million, while Alinma was the most actively traded stock with 14 million shares.

It is worth noting that as of today Tadawul began a temporary reduction of trading hours for all listed stocks to be from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
