Tadawul down 4.2% in August

Riyadh - Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) declined in August, amidst lower turnovers.

The Tadawul All Shares Index (TASI) went down by 4.2%, or 346.6 points, and ended the month at the level 7,948.2 points.

Market capital declined by 3.9% or SAR 77.3 billion to SAR 1.89 trillion.

Traded values went down to SAR 54.2 billion in August, compared with SAR 73.2 billion in July.

Taded volumes also decreased to 2 billion shares, compared with 2.8 billion shares last month.

As for the market sectors’ performance, only three sectors closed in green, while 17 sectors ended the month in the green zone.
