TASI's liquidity logs 30-session low at Sunday's close

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) finished Sunday’s trading activities in the red after its benchmark the Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) tumbled 34.27 points, or 0.4%, to 8,592.01 points.

TASI’s liquidity reached SAR 1.88 billion,  its lowest turnover in 30 sessions, or since 3 January, and down from SAR 2.34 billion on Thursday, while trading volume fell to 77.33 million shares, compared to 92.49 million.

The retailing sector declined 0.76%, followed by telecommunication services with 0.75%, while commercial and professional services shed 0.7%, banks went down 0.5%, and materials inched down 0.17%.

On the other hand, the transportation, consumer services, and energy sectors grew 0.58%, 0.2%, and 0.16%, respectively.

Abdullah Abdul Mohsen Al Khodari Sons Company’s stock led losers with 9.9%, while the Saudi Cable Company’s stock was the best performer with 6.4%.

The Saudi Basic Industries Corporation’s (SABIC) stock generated the highest liquidity of SAR 204.37 million, while Saudi Kayan Petrochemical Company's stock registered the highest traded volume on the bourse after 4.94 million shares were exchanged.

In the meantime, NOMU, the main index of the Nomu secondary market, increased 32.76 points, or 0.69%, reaching 3,454.65 points.

Nomu’s liquidity rose to SAR 3.87 million, from SAR 1.43 million, while trading volume nearly doubled to 179,400 shares, up from 92,530 on Thursday.

Al Omran Industrial and Trading Company’s stock topped Nomu’s gainers after jumping 11.1%, while Arab Sea Information System Co’s stock led losers with 1.1%.

The stock of Baazeem Trading Co was the most active after 70,970 shares were exchanged, generating SAR 2.4 million in turnover.
