TASI opens post-Eid session up, Nomu falls

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) started Sunday in green territory after its main Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) surged 82 points, or more than 1%, reaching 7,949.16 points in its first session after the five-day Eid al-Adha holiday.

By 10:40 am Saudi time, TASI’s trading volume reached 13.81 million shares exchanged at a turnover of SAR 336.34 million through 11,800 transactions.

The media, energy, telecommunication services, materials, and banking sectors jumped 2.7%, 2.1%, 1.6%, 1.2%, and 1.1%, respectively.

On the other hand, the commercial and professional services sector fell 0.7%, while the diversified financials sector inched down 0.1%.

The Saudi Company for Hardware’s (SACO) stock rose 5.1%, whereas Sahara Petrochemicals’ stock decreased by 1.7%.

Meanwhile, NOMU, the benchmark index of the Nomu-Parallel Market, levelled down 8.75 points, or 0.3%, to 2,618.76 points.

The stocks of Development Works Food and Arab Sea Information System went down 2.4% and 0.7%, respectively.
