TASI jumps 65 pts, Nomu stable at Monday’s open

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) opened Monday with positive performance after its main Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) surged 64.85 points, or 0.81%, to 8,043.68 points.

By 10:30 am Saudi time, TASI’s trading volume reached 9.6 million shares exchanged at a turnover of SAR 238.55 million through 10,200 transactions. 

The telecommunication services sector rose 2.6%, followed by the banking and materials sectors with 1.02%, and 0.24%, respectively. 

On the other hand, the pharmaceuticals sector fell 0.33%, while the food and staples retailing sector inched down 0.06%.

Saudi Fisheries Company’s (Al Asmak) stock led gainers with 4.92%, whereas Al Alamiya for Cooperative Insurance’s stock was the worst performer with 1.33%.

Meanwhile, NOMU, the benchmark index of the Nomu-Parallel Market, remained unchanged at 2,599.52 points.
