TASI jumps 26 pts, Nomu goes down at Tuesday’s close

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) closed Tuesday in green territory, after its main Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) added 25.81 points, or 0.32%, to 7,968.24 points.

TASI’s trading volume stood at 108.93 million shares by the end of the mid-week session, up from 90.25 million on Monday, while the main market's liquidity registered its highest level since 16 August after jumping to SAR 2.49 billion ($664 million), from SAR 2.23 billion ($594.67 million).

The pharmaceuticals sector levelled up 2.75%, followed by the telecommunication services sector with 0.88%.

The banking and materials sectors advanced 0.62%, and 0.41%, respectively.

On the flipside, the food and beverages sector fell 1.51%.

Saudi Real Estate Company’s (SREC) stock went up 6.67%, whereas the stock of Savola Group was the worst performer with 4.1%.

Alinma Bank’s stock, up 0.95%, was TASI’s most active after 17.6 million shares were exchanged, with a liquidity of SAR 375 million.

In the meantime, the main index of the Nomu secondary market, NOMU, retreated 20.5 points, or 0.77%, to close at 2,655.57 points.

Arab Sea Information System’s stock led losers with 5.13%, whereas Al-Kathiri Holding Company’s stock jumped 7.01%.

The stock of Abo Moati for Bookstores, up 0.38%, topped the parallel market activities in terms of trading volume after 13,600 shares were exchanged, with a turnover of SAR 143,640.
