TASI inches down, Nomu rises at Thursday’s close

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange’s Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) ended Thursday 0.01% or 0.72 points lower, closing at 7,539.02 points.  

TASI’s trading volume stood at 204.9 million shares on Thursday, against 159.9 million on Wednesday, while traded value increased to SAR 3.45 billion ($921 million) from SAR 3.11 billion ($829.3 million).

The media and materials sectors decreased 1.64% and 0.31%, respectively.

The healthcare equipment and services sector rose 1.3%, followed by banks with 0.32%, and telecommunication services with 0.29%.

Dar Al Arkan Real Estate Development’s stock, which tumbled 7.3%, topped TASI in terms of trading volume and value, to finish the last session of this week at SAR 10.28.

On the other hand, AXA Cooperative Insurance’s stock was TASI's best performer after increasing 5.56% to SAR 24.50.

In the meantime, the main index of the Nomu-Parallel Market, NOMU, went up 0.22%, or 6.76 points, to 3,090.97 points.

The stock of Al-Samaani Factory for Metal Industries jumped 13.6% to SAR 71, whereas Baazeem Trading’s stock fell 5.38% to SAR 25.50.
