TASI hovers over 8100 pts, Nomu down early Wednesday

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) started Wednesday up after its main Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) rose 0.26% or 20.65 points, to  8,117.05 points.

By 10:42 am Saudi time, TASI’s traded volume hit 46.43 million shares changed hands 26,390 transactions, generating SAR 916.84 million in a turnover.

The capital goods sector inched up 0.9%, followed by consumer durables and apparel with 0.8%, telecommunication services with 0.7%, and banks with 0.5%.

On the other hand, the energy sector fell 1.2%, while commercial and professional services shed 0.6%.

Saudi Mobile Telecommunications Company's (Zain) stock led gainers with 5.2%, whereas the National Shipping Company of Saudi Arabia’s (Bahri) stock decreased 3.3%.

Meanwhile, NOMU, the benchmark index of Nomu-Parallel Market, fell 0.3% or 9.7 points to 3,163.84 points.

Baazeem Trading’s stock dropped 3.7%, whereas Development Works Food’s stock jumped 10.2%.
