TASI gains more than 1% in week

Riyadh - Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) rose by the end of the week, supported by the gains achieved by the majority of market sectors.

The Tadawul All Shares Index (TASI) added 1.03%, ot 81.09 points, and closed the week at the level of 7,948.25 points.

Market capital increased by around SAR 27.9 billion ($7.45 billion) to a total of SAR 189 trillion.

As for the market sectors’ performance, 16 indices rose, led by pharmaceuticals that added 4%, and energy with 3.97%.

The top three sectors, namely telecom, materials, and banks, increased by 3.2%, 1.2%, and 0.9%, respectively.

On the other hand, four sectors went down, with food retail and utilities losing 3.6% and 1.5%, respectively.

Traded values declined by 34.7% to SAR 9.9 billion, with volumes decreasing by 27.6% to 423.7 million shares.
