Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) closed Sunday in the red after its main Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) retreated 0.34% or 25.72 points to 7,513.3 points.
TASI’s trading volume stood at 164.6 million shares on Sunday, against 204.9 million shares on Thursday, while liquidity decreased to SAR 2.85 billion ($760.53 million), from SAR 3.45 billion ($921 million).
The food and beverages sector tumbled 1.62%, followed by telecommunications services with 0.34%, materials with 0.22%, and banks with 0.18%.
On the other hand, the retailing and consumer services sectors levelled up 0.71% and 0.23%, respectively.
Dar Al Arkan Real Estate Development’s stock, which fell 6.42%, topped the bourse in terms of traded volume and value, closing Sunday at SAR 9.62, whereas Chubb Arabia Cooperative Insurance Company’s stock grew 6.06% to SAR 24.86.
In the meantime, the benchmark index of the Nomu-Parallel Market, NOMU, went down 0.23% or 7.13 points, to finish at 3,083.84 points.
Al-Kathiri Holding Company’s stock dropped 5.19% to SAR 21.90, whereas the stock of Al-Samaani Factory for Metal Industries jumped 17.29% to SAR 78.
