TASI closes in green; NOMU stabilises Sunday

Riyadh – Mubasher: The benchmark of the Tadawul All-Share Index (TASI) gained 41.31 points, or 0.5%, to close at 7,729.07 points on Sunday.

TASI’s trading volume reached 94.7 million shares, while the market’s liquidity hit SAR 1.98 billion.

A group of 15 sectors rose today, topped by the media, food and staples retailing, and the telecommunications sectors, which added 2.9%, 2.3%, and 1.7%, respectively.

Meanwhile, the declined sectors were only five, among them the consumer durables and apparel sector, which decreased by 0.44%.

TASI’s top gainer was Shams, with 8.5% hike, while Saudi Cable led the market’s losers, falling 4.4%.

On the other hand, the main index of the Nomu secondary market (NOMU) inched down 1.52 points, or 0.06%, to 2,565.72 points, the lowest level since its launch on 26 February 2017.

NOMU’s trading volume amounted to 151,550 shares, while the market’s turnover recorded SAR 1.57 million.

Arab Sea was the only loser in the secondary market, with a 4.9% drop, as Abo Moati headed gainers, adding 0.7%.
