Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) closed Sunday in the red after its main Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) slipped 2.03 points, or 0.03%, to 7,508.44 points.
TASI’s trading volume stood at 163.27 million shares on Sunday, against 153.6 million on Thursday, whereas liquidity decreased to SAR 3.52 billion, from SAR 3.56 billion.
The insurance sector levelled down 2%, followed by diversified financials with 0.6%, consumer durables and apparel with 0.4%, banks with 0.1%, and materials with 0.05%.
On the other hand, food and staples retailing, energy, utilities, and telecommunication services sectors increased 2.1%, 0.8%, 0.7%, and 0.4%, respectively.
The Saudi Indian Company for Cooperative Insurance’s (Wafa Insurance) stock tumbled 9.9%, followed by Amana Cooperative Insurance Company’s stock with 8.5%, and Buruj Cooperative Insurance Co’s stock with 8.5%.
On the other hand, the stock of Saudi Industrial Export (SIEC) jumped 10%.
Dar Al Arkan Real Estate Development’s stock was the most active in terms of traded volume after 46.1 million shares were exchanged, with a turnover of SAR 463.42 million.
In the meantime, the benchmark index of the Nomu-Parallel Market, NOMU, went down 5.33 points, or 0.17%, to 3,086.76 points.
Nomu’s trading volume reached 108,300 shares on Sunday, down from 121,900 on Thursday, while traded value fell to SAR 2.12 million, from SAR 2.9 million.
Al-Kathiri Holding Company’s stock dropped 9.5%, whereas Abo Moati for Bookstores’ stock edged up 0.8%.
The stock of Abo Moati for Bookstores acquired Nomu’s trading volume after 33,100 shares were exchanged, while Al-Kathiri Holding Company’s stock generated SAR 702,820.
