TASI, Nomu close Wednesday down

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) ended Wednesday down after its benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) decreased 2.63 points, or 0.03%, to 7,775.42 points.

TASI’s trading volume stood at 159.66 million shares on Wednesday, against 179.54 million on Tuesday, while liquidity tumbled to SAR 4.2 billion ($1.12 billion), from SAR 4.4 billion ($1.17 billion).

The energy sector inched down 0.7%, while the banking segment shed 0.56%.

On the other hand, the retailing, utilities, materials, and telecommunication services sectors levelled up 1.62%, 1.36%, 0.08%, and 0.08%, respectively.

Al Rajhi Bank’s stock fell 2.17% to SAR 74.90, whereas the National Petrochemical Company’s (Petrochem) grew 8.09%to finish at SAR 26.20.

In the meantime, NOMU, the main index of the Nomu-Parallel Market, retreated 78.7 points, or 2.54%, to end the session at 3,020.99 points.

Thob Al-Aseel Company’s stock declined 3.60% to SAR 61.50, whereas Baazeem Trading’s stock rose 0.4% to SAR 25.
