Dubai – Mubasher: Swiss-Belhotel International plans to open 20 hotels in the Middle East and Africa by 2021, and to have 10 other under construction in the region, senior vice president for operations and development – the Middle East, Africa, and India Laurent A. Voivenel stated.
Five of these projects will be launched in Africa, while the rest will be located in the Middle East, especially the GCC, Voivenel added.
“We have chalked out a very aggressive expansion strategy for the Middle East and Africa with 17% of our global portfolio of hotels comprising 3500 rooms centred in the region,” the top official revealed.
The tourism sector will remain strong in the Middle East, given the execution of mega infrastructure projects in the region including airport expansions and the development of new attractions, Voivenel noted.
