Sustainable City Symposium kicks off in Riyadh on Tuesday

Riyadh – Mubasher: Sustainable City Symposium, organised by the Royal Commission for Riyadh City (RCRC), started in Riyadh on Tuesday, 12 November.

The event will take place at King Fahd National Library with the presence of more than 60 international experts from international academic and research institutions.

Ending 13 November, the two-day event will focus on the future of Riyadh as a sustainable city looking to enhance the quality of life of its citizens.

It will also highlight the four most ambitious projects in Riyadh launched by King Salman represented in King Salman Park, Sports Boulevard, Green Riyadh, and Riyadh Art.

Those four projects are considered transformative and will help to establish Riyadh as one of the most livable cities in the world.

They also complement Saudi Vision 2030’s ‘Quality of Life’ Program and are aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

The symposium will handle topic including climate change, sustainable urban development, conservation of the natural environment, critical resource management, energy conservation, production and management, legal frameworks and initiatives to support positive change, and transformative social activation.
