Cairo – Mubasher: Suez Cement on Thursday posted it has turned profitable in the first nine months of 2018, as compared with the corresponding period of 2017.
The Egyptian cement producer generated a net profit of EGP 277.06 million for the nine-month period ended September, against losses of EGP 233.04 million in the year-ago period, according to a filing to the Egyptian Exchange (EGX).
As for the standalone business, the company achieved profits of EGP 267.3 million at the end of September, against a net loss of EGP 40.61 million in the prior-year period.
Suez Cement previously reported an EGP 250.59 million in net profits for the six-month period ended June, against a loss of EGP 40.61 million in H1-17.
