Shareholder ups stake in Arab Cotton Ginning for EGP 2.57/shr

Cairo – Mubasher: Shareholder Ali Abu Zaid Mohamed Ibrahim has bought 2.71 million shares in Arab Cotton Ginning Company at an average price of EGP 2.57 per share, equivalent to a total value of EGP 6.98 million.

Ibrahim’s ownership in the EGX-listed firm accordingly increased to 5.65% from 4.81%, according to a stock exchange filing on Thursday.

EFH Hermes and Sigma Capital acted as brokers in the transaction.

Earlier today, Arab Cotton Ginning announced that Bayt El Khebra for Leasing (Technolease) raised its stake in it to 2.28% from 1.43% for EGP 5.86 million.

During fiscal year (FY) ended 30 June 2022, Arab Cotton Ginning reported standalone net profits after tax of EGP 34.22 million, compared to net profits of EGP 35.73 million a year earlier.
