Shareholder cuts stake in Dice for EGP 36.69m

Cairo - Mubasher: Shareholder Majid Samir Toma Thomas has cut his stake in Dice Sport and Casual Wear to 8.70% from 14.77% for a total value of EGP 36.69 million.

Thomas has sold 108.57 million shares in Dice at an average share price of EGP 0.33, according to a bourse disclosure on Tuesday.

In a separate statement, the company said shareholder Nagy Samir Toma Thomas has raised his stake in Dice to 21.14% from 15.07% at EGP 36.69 million.

EFG Hermes acted as a broker in the two transactions.

On 24 October, the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) announced a block trading deal worth EGP 36.69 million on the shares of Dice.

It is worth noting that in the first half (H1) of 2022, Dice registered a 668.93% surge in its net profits at EGP 45.29 million, compared to EGP 5.89 million in H1-21, including minority shareholders’ rights.

In the meantime, the company’s sales grew to EGP 903.66 million in the January-June period of 2022, a jump from EGP 666.26 million in the year-ago period.
