Riyadh – Mubasher: Shalfa Facilities Management Company has announced the receipt of a major contract award from Tatweer Buildings Company (TBC) to provide comprehensive facility management services for school buildings in the Qassim region, according to a bourse filing.
The contract, valued at SAR 366.48 million excluding Value Added Tax (VAT), marks a significant milestone in the company’s ongoing partnership with the Kingdom’s primary educational infrastructure developer.
This award is part of a broader framework agreement aimed at maintaining high operational standards across educational facilities in Saudi Arabia’s Central Region.
The award notice was received on 14 June 2026, while the contract is specifically designated for the execution of integrated cleaning, maintenance, and gatekeeping services for school buildings and private institutes located throughout the Qassim administrative area.
The award is an extension of a strategic framework agreement previously established between Shalfa and Tatweer Buildings Company.
According to the company’s filing, the framework agreement for integrated facility management services in the Central Region was originally signed on 29 April 2025. This latest award represents the formal activation of service requirements for the Qassim region under that existing contractual structure.
The scope of work outlined in the contract is extensive, covering the essential operational needs of educational facilities. Shalfa will be responsible for the day-to-day cleaning operations and the technical maintenance required to ensure the longevity and safety of the school buildings. Furthermore, the provision of gatekeeping services indicates that Shalfa will manage the personnel responsible for access control and site security, ensuring a secure environment for students and faculty.
Financially, the contract value represents the base value of the services to be rendered and does not include the 15% Value Added Tax. The scale of this contract underscores Shalfa’s capacity to manage large-scale, multi-site service deployments within the public sector.
Shalfa also clarified that there are no related parties involved in this transaction. The contract was awarded through standard procurement channels, maintaining the transparency and competitive integrity required for major government-linked infrastructure projects.
This contract award reinforces Shalfa’s position as a key player in the Saudi Arabian facility management sector, particularly within the specialized niche of educational infrastructure.
By securing this long-term commitment in the Qassim region, the company continues to expand its operational footprint and solidify its revenue base through high-value service agreements with government-backed entities like Tatweer Buildings Company.
The successful execution of these services is expected to contribute to the overall quality of the educational environment in the Central Region, aligning with national efforts to modernize and maintain the Kingdom’s public facilities.
