Serco reports positive results for H1-19

Mubasher: Serco, a leading British provider of public services across four regions, continued its strong performance in the first half of 2019, following promising results in the year-ago period. Both of the global as well as the Middle East markets remained prosperous in terms of revenues. Serco’s revenues realised from the Middle East region amounted to AED 753 million in H1-19, while global revenues rose by 8% to AED 6.716 billion from AED 6.215 billion in H1-18.

Moreover, Serco’s order intake has surprisingly surpassed AED 15 billion, thus, stressing the company’s vision of solidifying its international footprint, according to a press release on Thursday.

The Middle East is key to Serco’s strategic growth and is always viewed as a winning market, CEO of Serco Middle East Phil Malem stated, pointing out that Serco is currently working on executing several regional major plans related to the transport and health sectors, aiming for a growing global revenue.

Noteworthy, Serco’s operations in the Middle East account for around 11% of the company’s total revenue from the fields of transport, defence, health, as well as citizen services.
