Selective buying pushes up ADX on Wednesday

UAE – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) ended Wednesday’s trading session in the green territory on the back of selective buying on some of the blue-chips stocks.

The ADX’s general index inched up 3.53 points, or 0.07%, finishing the session at 5,080.74 points.

Trading volume stood at 34.083 million shares exchanged at a turnover of AED 72.818 million through 860 transactions.

Market capitalisation added AED 98.5 million and closed the session at AED 521.250 billion.

The banks, the telecommunication, the real estate, and the energy sectors levelled up 0.17%, 0.12%, 1.24%, and 0.35%, respectively.

Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) was the most heavily traded stock with a turnover of AED 17.847 million.
