Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudia Cargo has signed an agreement with Cainiao, the logistic arm of Alibaba Group, to operate five weekly flights from Hong Kong to Belgium’s Liège, with Riyadh as a connection point.
The step comes to meet the growing demand for e-store shipments leveraging the kingdom’s unique geographical position connecting Asia and Europe, according to a statement on Tuesday.
The deal will help make Saudi Arabia a global logistics hub in tandem with Vision 2030 and will further support e-commerce operations between China and Europe.
