Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: Saudi visitors to Abu Dhabi surged 57%, while the number of US arrivals to the UAE’s capital and biggest sheikhdom increased by 27% year-on-year during June, Abu Dhabi Department of Culture and Tourism’s statistics showed.
About 162 hotels, hotel apartments, and resorts hosted 339,590 visitors in June, registering a 6% growth compared to the same month a year earlier, Al-Ittihad newspaper reported, citing the statistics.
During the first six months of 2018, the number of guests in Abu Dhabi hotels rose 5% year-on-year to 2.413 million.
Tourists from India hiked 3.7%, exceeding 30,000 in June, while their number jumped 19% in H1-18.
The British arrivals to Abu Dhabi levelled up 14.5% during June, while growing 12.9% in H1-18.
