Riyadh-Mubasher: Saudi Arabia’s Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC) has blocked the free WhatsApp voice calls on Tuesday.
The Saudi telecom operators said the free voice calls will lead them to incur huge losses, Ajel newspaper reported.
In 2013, CITC had blacked the Viber application, requesting the companies offering such applications to cooperate with the local telecom firms in fulfilling the regulatory requirements which were not unveiled by the commission.
