Saudi private sector to join GCC-Turkiye Economic Forum 2023

Riyadh - Sharikat Mubasher: Representatives of the Saudi private sector will participate in the GCC-Turkiye Economic Forum 2023 that will take place in Istanbul from 11 to 13 November 2023.

The forum will be organized by the Gulf Research Center (GRC), in cooperation with International Cooperation Platform Istanbul, with the participation of a panel of Gulf and Turkish officials and businessmen, Asharq Al Awsat newspaper stated.

The economic forum aims to strengthen the strategic ties between the Gulf countries and Turkiye in different fields, including: trade, investment and finance, energy, infrastructure, industry, transportation and logistics, tourism, agriculture and food, as well as sports.

Abdulaziz Sager, the Chairman of the GRC, said: “The GCC-Türkiye Economic Forum will explore the current state of relations between the Gulf states and Türkiye and explore opportunities for future improvement and further collaboration.”

“We aim to shed light on recent accomplishments and historic milestones to identify guiding examples moving forward in the presence of cutting-edge entrepreneurs and government officials,” Sager added.

One of the key objectives of the forum is to provide a platform for networking by engaging key private and public actors from the GCC and Türkiye policy and corporate community.

It should be mentioned that the Saudi-Turkish trade volume reached $6.5 billion in 2022, and hit $3.4 billion during the first half of 2023.
