Riyadh – Mubasher: Cargo handling in Saudi ports, supervised by the Saudi Ports Authority (Mawani), went up by 3% in September 2020, topping 25 million tonnes.
Meanwhile, the total number of handled containers increased by over 666,000 or 17.41% through 944 vessels, Mawani said in a statement on Tuesday.
Saudi ports saw a rise in imported food products by 8.37% or 2.4 million tonnes.
Moreover, cars and livestock imports totalled around 50,000 and 367,000, respectively.
